A fast shutter speed will help with freezing the motion.

Having your focus mode set to continuous will help with keeping a moving subject in focus. When you enable Sport Mode on your camera, it should set your focus mode to continous.

Kids on swings are a great place to practice capturing motion. This shot is of Forest on a zipline.

Having that fast shutter speed is great for freezing the motion of a splash!

Sometimes the only way to get them where you want them to be is to chase them!
